Adjunct Patent Agent will be expected to perform a variety of projects, as assigned by the supervising attorney(s). Not all projects will require equal amounts of effort, have the same turn-around time, or be associated with the same value (which is described in more detail below). Adjunct Patent Agents are not guaranteed to be assigned a certain number of projects over the course of the year.

Adjunct Patent Agent will be expected to track assigned and completed projects, as well as time spent on each project, as directed by the EES team and Firm management. Depending on the project, they also may be asked to enter time worked on a particular project in the Firm’s time entry program for billing and other purposes. Adjunct Patent Agent will also be required to submit a completed projects log to the supervising attorney(s), who will confirm that the listed projects have been completed to their satisfaction. Adjunct Patent Agent will be expected to submit the log, as approved by the supervising attorney(s), to Firm management on an agreed-upon schedule.

Adjunct Patent Agents can work remotely and thus you will not be associated with a particular Firm office. However, you may be asked to travel to a Firm office or other location based on the projects assigned to you, and at the discretion of Firm supervising attorneys and/or management. Adjunct Patent Agents also may be required to attend various meetings, including those internal to the Firm.
